Reiner Zimnik
Reiner Zimnik (1930 - 2021) was born in Bytom, grew up in Lower Bavaria, and drew from the age of four. After an apprenticeship as a cabinet-maker and studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich he continued to live in the city as a poet, illustrator and painter. Reiner Zimnik was awarded a number of prizes (including the ›Eichendorff Prize‹, ›Munich Art Prize for Graphic Design‹ and a scholarship at the Villa-Massimo).
