Harald Naegeli
Harald Naegeli, born in Zurich in 1939, studied in Zurich and Paris and made a name for himself in the 1970s as the ›Sprayer of Zurich‹. His work, on public and private walls and buildings alike, are a protest against uniformity and the established concept of art. While his line drawings were continually removed in Switzerland, and Naegeli himself prosecuted, he received support in Germany; from Joseph Beuys, amongst others. Alongside his graffiti, Harald Naegeli has created a large body of work, capturing over 30'000 drawings in his sketchbooks.
