Would you confide your life confession to Rosemarie Hirte? You don't know who that is? – Then you are no different from Hella Moormann who has this nondescript, unknown person in the bed next to her in the Heidelberg gynaecological hospital. Night for night Hella tells Rosemarie about her life in order to while away the long hospital nights. The old maid does not pay much attention to her, drops off repeatedly, or so Hella thinks, so that she finally also confesses some matters to her which she has never confided to anybody before. Hella, a pharmacist by profession, suffers from an urge to rescue and mother people, which is responsible for her landing with the wrong men time and again - and in the most fantastic of situations: an inheritance which has certain drawbacks, drugs, dangerous dentures, a happy-go-lucky student and a child with several fathers are all involved. And not to be forgotten, Rosemarie Hirte in the role of an unpredictable mother confessor…
